When searching for a rooftop rack system to fit on my 2003 Honda CRV, I didn't seem to have too many options. The factory rack was overpriced and not very flexible as there weren't many attachments for it to handle the various types of things I wanted to carry...bikes, canoes, kayaks. I decided to buy the Thule system because of it's great reputation and variety of fittings available for it.I love my Thule rack. The quality and fit of the foot pack is just amazing. Installation was a breeze and the included plastic covers match the existing roof line nearly perfectly. Once the feet are clicked in place, they are very solid and feel incredibly secure...that's something reassuring when carrying a $3,000 kayak! I would hate to see my kayak flying off my roof at 65mph.
It would be nice if locks were included in the package instead of being an expensive option, but other than that, this is a quality rack system that you cannot go wrong with. Highly recommended.
